Ferry Companies at the SihanoukVille Port

All these companies have similar service. Some are better than the others. Good to check the ratings.

The boats leave from The SihanoukVille Tourist Port between 7:30am and 5pm.
During the rainy season, July to October, there could be fewer ferries.

Also, during this time, if sailing conditions are not good, (dangerous), the boats will not sail. You could be stuck on an island (or in SihanoukVille) for a day or two.

Typical prices are $14 one way, and $25 two ways. If you have a 2 way ticket, once you’re on an Island, you can usually contact your boat company a day in advance and change your return time.

Easiest way to book and see the schedules is from one of the on-line booking companies below. Or go to the listed companies above and check their websites. (some of the websites are really bad though.)

The trip is from 40 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the Pier and the island you are going to / from.

No assigned seating. Get on the boat early if you want to choose your seat.

Some boats have bathrooms, some don’t. If this is important, then ask in advance.

(the 3 hour trip between Kampot and the Koh Rong doesn’t have a bathroom.)

Also, a very few private charters (private boats) available at the Port. You’ll need to book these in advance.

A few private islands off SihanoukVille’s coast have their own boats.

Also, you can get to Koh Sdach Island from the SihanoukVille Port, but it may stop off at Koh Rong Island first.
